What it does

Add it however you got it
Bring in a screenshot, a receipt scan, a file, something from the share sheet, or type it in. You review everything before it is saved.
Dates you can trust
Return windows, trial ends, renewals and warranties. Each date says whether it came from your document, was calculated, or is an estimate.
Reminders before it is too late
By default a nudge 7, 3 and 1 days before a return or renewal, and 3 and 1 days before a trial ends.
Help to return or cancel
Guidance on how to return or cancel. When you start a cancellation the app marks it as started, never as done.
What you actually saved
The savings ledger counts money as recovered only after a refund is confirmed, and keeps estimates separate.

Why we're making it

A free trial rolls into a paid year. A return window closes on a Tuesday. A warranty expires a month before the thing breaks. None of these are hard, they are just easy to lose track of.

Purchase Guardian keeps those dates in one place and is careful about what it knows. A date from your receipt is labelled as such. A date the app worked out is labelled as calculated. A guess is labelled as a guess.

What it does with your data

  • Your purchases and deadlines are stored on your iPhone, and the core app works without an account.
  • Cloud features are optional. They are reading documents the app can't read on its own, encrypted backup, and billing.
  • The server does not store your email address or your name.
  • Backups are encrypted with a key that stays on your device.
  • You can delete your data at every level, including your account.

Not yet. It is in development for iPhone and has not been released.

Android is planned after iPhone. There is no date.
